Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the ScrollOut application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and ScrollOut. We recommend reading them carefully before using the application.
2. Description of Service
ScrollOut is an iOS application designed to help users manage their screen time and improve productivity. The Service enables you to:
- Block distracting apps using Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls)
- Start focus sessions (Pomodoro, Deep Work, 52/17, SOS Mode)
- Track screen time and productivity statistics
- Build focus habits through a streak system
ScrollOut relies on Apple's Family Controls framework. App blocking is enforced at the iOS system level — it cannot be bypassed by simply deleting ScrollOut.
3. Account Creation
Some features of the Service require creating an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Be at least 13 years old to create an account
You are responsible for all activities conducted from your account.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
ScrollOut offers three subscription plans:
Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Payments are automatically charged on the renewal date. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Refund Policy: We offer a full refund within 14 days of initial purchase. To request a refund, contact us at support@scrollout.app or through the App Store refund process.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with app blocking mechanisms
- Use the Service for illegal or fraudulent purposes
- Attempt to decompile, disassemble, or extract the application's source code
- Share your account with other people
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others
- Transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
6. Intellectual Property
ScrollOut and all its content, features, and design elements (including but not limited to the logo, user interface, source code, text, and graphics) are the exclusive property of ScrollOut and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you the right to reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written permission.
7. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@scrollout.app. Termination results in the deletion of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service in case of violation of these Terms, without notice or liability.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ScrollOut shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
ScrollOut does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Use of the Service is at your own risk. In particular, ScrollOut cannot guarantee 100% app blocking across all iOS configurations.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with French law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you also benefit from the protections provided by the legislation of your country of residence.
